High School Playing Experience: Springston was a Louisville Slugger All American coming out of Lorena High School. Senior (2005): Springston earned first team All-State and All District honors…named Super Centex MVP. Junior (2004): He was first team All State selection as well as first team All-District and District MVP. As a Sophomore played on Lorena’s state championship team.

College Playing Experience: Springston pitched one season for the Arkansas Razorbacks as a weekend starter. He helped lead the Razorbacks to a Regional playoff in 2008...Played for the Chatham A’s in the Cape Cod League during the summer of 2007 and the Hays Larks in the Jayhawk league in the summer of 2006. …was ranked the number 4 prospect in the Jayhawk League by Baseball America in 2006. Springston was a two way player for the Baylor Bears…made 33 appearances on the mound in two years and played in 9 games as a position player.

Pro Baseball Experience: Drafted in the 11th round by the Texas Rangers in 2008 following his junior year at Arkansas University. For the Rangers, Springston pitched for the Spokane Indians championship team in 2008 and then the Hickory Crawdads in 2009.

Cooper Eddy has been with D-BAT since January 2010. He finished his college career at the University of New Mexico as a starting pitcher in 2004.  That year, he was drafted by the Boston Red Sox and went on to sign a professional contract with them that June.  Cooper played professionally with the Red Sox as well as a few other independent league teams throughout a 5 year pro career.  Cooper has been doing private one on one lessons for the past 3 years with kids ages anywhere from 6-18 and focuses primarily on the mechanics of pitching and the basic fundamentals of fielding and hitting.

David is a 1995 graduate of Allen High school where he was a 3 time All-District Selection. Played junior college baseball for coach Phil Wilson at North Arkansas where he was named to the NJCAA All-Region and All-Regional tournament teams. David finished his career playing for coach James Vilade at the University of Dallas, where he was twice named to the All-Conference teams as well as the universities Offensive Player of the Year. David has been coaching baseball and giving private lessons in the DFW area for the last 5 years.

Drew is a right handed pitcher who attended The University of Texas at Arlington before continuing on with various independent clubs, including the Coastal Kingfish of the Continental League (2009) and the Warner Robins Aviators of the Peach State League (2010). While playing for the Mavericks, Drew led the team in ERA in back-to-back seasons posting a 3.16 ERA in 14 appearances in 2008 and a 3.29 ERA in 9 appearances in 2009. Currently, Drew works full time as a pitching and hitting specialty instructor for D-BAT Addison as well as a coach for the D-BAT Mustangs select teams. Drew graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies.

Shane Wallace is a local product of DBAT, having trained at the original facility in his senior year at Newman Smith HS in Carrollton, TX. Shane began his professional career with a 6th Round selection by the Cleveland Indians in 1999.  His 7 seasons of professional baseball include two All-Star honors in 2001 and 2004, along with stints in AA with Cleveland, St. Louis, and the Texas Rangers farm club in Frisco.  Shane is close to completion of his degree in finance from The University of Texas at Dallas with 21 hours remaining and currently co-owns the Crossfit Addison facility connected to our DBAT-Addison.  Shane's certifications in training include Crossfit L1 Certificate, NASM-CPT and NASM-PES. He has been working with youth athletes for over 7 years with emphasis on pitching, strength and conditioning programs.

A Former Texas Ranger that has 7 years of Professional baseball experience. I was drafted in the 11th rd. by the Texas Rangers in 2004 out of the University of Kansas. I held the Single Season and Career Home Run Records, and Voted Best Defensive 3B in Big XII in 2002. I was the 2005 Minor League POY for the Rangers. I was voted Baseball America’s best defensive 3B, in 2005 and 2010. I made my Major League Debut in May of 2007, spending time of two different years with the Rangers. Also playing with the Kansas City Royals and Colorado Rockies.
